الكروتون أو الكوديوم Codiaeum
1- موطنه الأصلي في آسيا الاستوائية وهو أحد نباتات الزينة المعمرة
2 - شجيرة يصل إرتفاعها إلى حوالي 2م في أغلب الأحيان
3 -يكمن جمال الكروتون في تعدد أشكال أوراقة وألوانها الجذابة
حيث أن أوراقه تمتاز بكونها مختلفة الاشكال والألوان والحجم
4 - لون اوراقه خضراء فيها بقع صفراء زاهية
فى حجم العدس من هنا سمى بالكرتون العدسى
5 - النبات يفرز سائلاً لبنياً غروياً ساماً يحذر منه خاصة للأطفال
